IT Project Coordinator

Job Summary: We are looking for a motivated and organized IT Project Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a technical understanding of IT and the ability to schedule and coordinate the necessary technical resources to complete projects efficiently. This role involves active communication with all parties involved to ensure smooth project execution and effective status reporting.

Job Description Includes:

  • Coordinate IT projects ensuring that they are completed on time and within scope.
  • Work closely with the client contacts, fellow project managers, service managers, developers and engineers to ensure that appropriate resources are applied to project needs.
  • Efficiently allocate and manage project resources, ensuring optimal utilization and project success.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, keeping them informed about project progress and addressing any concerns or queries.
  • Regularly document and update project status, maintaining accurate records of project timelines, milestones, and progress.
  • Proactively identify potential project issues or roadblocks and work collaboratively to resolve them.
  • Facilitate communication between project team members and stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of project objectives.
  • Work with operations team to develop task list and schedule and assign tasks to appropriate engineering resources.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet the required standards and customer expectations and keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Prepare and deliver project reports, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders and management.
  • Gather feedback post-project completion to identify areas for improvement and implement changes in future projects.
  • Coordinate internal and external kickoff meetings.
  • Create project plan with high level milestones and communicate these to customer.
  • Manage change control and its impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Manage customer transition from implementation to support services.
  • Maintain project documentation including status reporting and project changes.
  • On-site project visits, some travel required.

To be successful in this role, the selected candidate will have the following skills:

  • The ideal applicant will have 2-3 years of experience coordinating IT projects and customer implementations, will consider 6-12 months of experience with related internship.
  • Must have a good understanding of technical terms, outstanding organizational skills, scheduling experience, and the ability to organize a variety of resources.
  • Have a foundational understanding of IT concepts to effectively communicate with technical staff and understand project requirements.
  • Working knowledge of either MS Project or similar tools for tracking and reporting. MS Office and strong overall computer skills required.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are a MUST. Should be firm on best practices, yet adaptable to change. Professional and positive demeanor necessary.
  • A Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred in CS, MIS or Business Management
  • Some travel necessary (approximately 10%, day trips, US)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
